Varifocal Glasses Online
To be made accurately, varifocal lenses require additional measurements to be taken whilst you are wearing your new frames.
To achieve this, when you complete your order for varifocal glasses, we will first send you the empty frames, along with a pre paid return envelope (UK only), for a Varifocal Fitting Photo. Once we receive the varifocal fitting photo we can use our in house scaling solution to take the measurements required to accurately fit your new varifocal lenses.
We believe this is the only accurate way to provide varifocal glasses online and, as you would expect, backed by our 100% satisfaction guarantee. Find out more about our Varifocal lenses below.

Varifocal FAQ’s
Q: What are Varifocal Lenses?
A: Varifocal lenses are designed for those that require vision correction for both distance and near. They allow you to focus at all distances in one pair of glasses without any visible lines on the lens itself. Looking straight ahead you will be able to focus in to the distance but as you move your gaze down through the lens they gradually increase in strength allowing you to see intermediate distances and near distances towards the bottom of the lens.
Q: Can you not use an average fitting height like other companies?
A: We believe not. Each frame will sit at different heights on different people, as we are all unique. Whilst you may get lucky with this method, much of the time the fitting height will be inaccurate resulting in the varifocal either being unusable, or at best, not giving you the full benefits of a properly fitted varifocal lens.
Q: How long does it take to get varifocal glasses?
A: This depends on the frame and lens options chosen. However, turnaround is usually 7 days from receiving your varifocal fitting photo. Please see our delivery schedule for more accurate information.
Q: Can you supply photochromic varifocal lenses?
A: Yes. You can select either grey or brown photochromic lenses when customising the lens options.
Q: Can you supply varifocal sunglasses with mirror coatings?
A: Yes. You can have the same lens options on varifocal lenses as any of our single vision lenses including mirrors, photochromic & polarised.
Q: What happens if I cannot adapt to Varifocal Glasses?
A: Varifocal glasses take a little time to get used to. At first they can feel strange and for some they can take up to a week to get used to. In rarer cases some find that they simply cannot adjust to wearing varifocals. Should you find yourself in this situation then please do not worry. You may return them for a full refund or have them exchanged for something more suitable such as bifocal or single vision lenses. We will also refund any price difference so you have nothing to loose by giving them a try.
